The Secretariat of the Constitutional Court

The Secretariat of the Constitutional Court is formed for a daily information-related, organizational-technical, analytical support of the Constitutional Court function, organization of control over adopted decisions execution, exercising of necessary connection with the state bodies, international cooperation, conduction of the office-work, realization of other work for provision of the Constitutional Court activity.

The Secretariat of the Constitutional Court is the legal person, and its activity is leaded by the Head of Secretariat of the Constitutional Court appointed on this post directly by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court.

The structure and the list of the members of staff of the Secretariat is approved by the Constitutional Court decision.

The structure of the Secretariat includes the Main Organizational and Legal Department, the Legal and Expert Department, and the Administrative Department.

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 15 September 2007 No 26 “On an establishment of the employees number of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court” established the number of employees of the Secretariat in quantity of 46 persons.

The work of the Secretariat is organized on the basis of the Provision approved by the Constitutional Court. Structural departments of the Secretariat works on their provisions, approved by the Head of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court. Employees of the Secretariat have rights and duties according to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On public service in the Republic of Belarus”. Duties of the employees of the Secretariat are defined by the Head of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court or Heads of structural departments.

The Head of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court is responsible for the work organization and appropriate Secretarial function, its structural departments. The Head of the Secretariat can participate in sessions of the Constitutional Court while the consideration of the organizational questions of the Constitutional Court take place, and also the annual Message to the President of the Republic of Belarus and Chambers of Parliament of the Republic of Belarus on the constitutional legality in Republic.
